What we collect, who can see it and the choices you have, in plain language.

1. Who we are

Elitice is a network for professionals in real estate, luxury and automotive, run by Teqqed BV in the Netherlands (“we”). We decide how your personal data is used and are responsible for it under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Teqqed BV, Van Kleffenslaan 5, unit 5, 8442 CW Heerenveen, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce (KvK) 86839195, VAT NL864108370B01.

Questions about this policy or your data go to hello@elitice.com.

2. What we collect

Only what you give us and what we need to run the network.

AccountYour email address and name. If you continue with Google, we also receive the name, email address and profile picture on your Google account. We never see a Google password, and Elitice has no passwords of its own.
ProfileWhat you choose to add: title, company, city, country, bio, languages, sectors, verticals, expertise, principles, lessons, mottos, session topics, links (LinkedIn, website, Instagram, booking page), and the photo, banner and intro video you upload.
Financial rangesOptional. Yearly revenue and net worth as broad ranges, never exact figures, each with its own visibility setting.
VerificationThe LinkedIn profile, website, work email and note you send when you ask to be verified, and our decision.
BillingIf you pay for Premium: your billing name and email, the price you locked in and the status of your subscription. Stripe also takes your billing address and, for companies, a VAT number, to work out tax and issue invoices. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see or store them.
InvitesIf a member invites you by email, your address, their note and who sent it. We send you that one email and nothing else unless you join. If you join through an invite or a member's link, we note who invited you.
NewsletterIf you sign up for the weekly profiles email: your email address, where on the site you signed up, and when you confirmed or left. You don't need an account for it.
ActivityThe members and companies you upvote, your connection requests, and your session requests with the messages and notes in them.
TechnicalWhen you sign in we store your IP address and browser type with your session, so you stay signed in and we can spot misuse. Our hosting provider keeps short-lived server logs.

We don't ask for sensitive data such as health, religion or political views. Please keep it out of your profile.

3. What others can see

  • Profiles and company pages are public. Anyone with the link can see your name, photo, title, company, location, LinkedIn and website links, and the content you add. After launch, search engines may index them.
  • Revenue and net worth appear only as you choose: to everyone, to signed-in members, or to no one but you.
  • Upvote counts and rankings are public. The person you upvote can see that you did.
  • Public profiles may be featured on the home page and in the weekly profiles email. Email us if you'd rather yours wasn't.
  • Your email address is shared with another member only once you're connected, or when a session request between you is accepted. Your booking link goes to people whose session request you accept.
  • Verification details, such as your work email and note, are seen only by our team.

4. Why we use it

Running EliticeYour account, profile, rankings, connections and session requests. We need this to provide the service you signed up for (performance of a contract).
VerificationChecking by hand that members are who they say they are. This keeps the network real (contract and legitimate interest).
BillingCharging for Premium and keeping its status in step with your payments (contract).
InvitesDelivering an invite a member asked us to send, and showing them who joined through it (legitimate interest of the member and of Elitice).
EmailSign-in links, and notices about requests to you and answers to yours (contract). We don't send marketing email unless you opt in.
NewsletterThe weekly profiles email, sent only after you confirm your address from the link we email you (consent). Every one has a link to leave, and leaving takes one click.
AdvertisingMeasuring which of our ads on Instagram and Facebook bring people to Elitice, with the Meta Pixel. Only if you say yes to marketing cookies (consent), and you can change your mind any time under Cookie settings in the footer.
SafetyPreventing fake accounts, spam and vote manipulation (legitimate interest).
The lawKeeping records or answering lawful requests where we have to (legal obligation).

We don't sell personal data. Apart from the ad measurement above, which needs your yes, we don't use it for advertising. Rankings are a count of upvotes from verified members; no automated decision about you has legal or similar effects.

5. Who processes it

A small number of providers handle data for us, under contract and only on our instructions:

VercelHosting. Our servers run in Frankfurt, Germany.
NeonOur database, also in Frankfurt.
ResendDelivering sign-in links, notifications and the weekly profiles email.
MetaMeta Platforms Ireland, for the Meta Pixel: only after you accept marketing cookies. It tells Meta which pages you visit here and when you claim a handle, sign up, subscribe to the newsletter or buy Premium, so we can see which ads work. Meta handles that data under its own privacy policy.
StripePremium payments and invoices. Stripe handles your card details, not us.
CloudflareStoring your photo, banner and intro video, and serving them on the site. Removing one, or your account, deletes it there too.
GoogleSign-in, only if you choose Continue with Google.

Some of these companies are based in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, the transfer is covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

Images and videos that members add by link are loaded from the site that hosts them, which can see the visitor's IP address. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.

6. Cookies

SessionKeeps you signed in. Essential; Elitice doesn't work without it.
LayoutRemembers whether you prefer grid or list view, for a year.
ThemeYour light or dark choice, kept in your browser's local storage.
InviteIf you arrive through a member's invite link, remembers who invited you, for 30 days.
HandleThe address you claim on the home page, held for a day until you finish signing up.
Your choiceWhether you accepted marketing cookies, kept for six months, then we ask again.
Meta PixelOptional, only with your yes to marketing cookies: Meta's cookies (such as _fbp) that measure which of our ads bring people here. Without your yes, nothing from Meta loads.

You choose in the banner on your first visit, and can change it any time under Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. There are no analytics cookies.

7. How long we keep it

  • Your account and profile, for as long as you have an account. When you delete your account in Settings, your profile, company pages you own, upvotes, connections and requests are removed straight away. Backups roll over within 30 days.
  • Sign-in links expire after 10 minutes. Sessions end when you sign out or after a period without use.
  • Verification requests stay with your account, as a record of how you were verified.
  • Server logs are kept by our hosting provider for a short period, then deleted.

8. Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a copy in a portable format, or object to or restrict how we use it. You can change most of your profile, or delete your account, yourself in Settings.

For anything else, email hello@elitice.com from the address on your account. We reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or the authority where you live.

9. Security

Everything travels over HTTPS. Sign-in works by email link or Google, so there are no Elitice passwords to leak. Access to member data is limited to the people who need it to run and verify the network.

No system is perfectly secure. If you find a weakness, please tell us at hello@elitice.com.

10. Changes

Elitice is for adults acting in a professional capacity. If this policy changes, we update this page and the date at the top. For significant changes we email members before they take effect. See also our Terms.
