Terms

The agreement between you and Elitice: what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you.

1. The agreement

These terms are an agreement between you and Teqqed BV, which runs Elitice (“we”). By creating an account or using Elitice you accept them, together with our Privacy policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Elitice.

2. Who can join

  • You're at least 18 and use Elitice in a professional capacity.
  • You work in real estate, luxury or automotive, or close enough to them that members would recognise your work.
  • You use your real name, and have one personal account.
  • You only create or claim a company page if you're authorised to represent that company.

3. Verification

Our team reviews every verification request by hand. We may ask for more information, and we can decline or withdraw verification at our discretion, for example if details turn out to be wrong.

A verified mark means we're satisfied you are who you say you are. It isn't an endorsement of your business, your financial figures or anything you advise.

4. Your profile and content

You're responsible for what you put on Elitice. It must be accurate, yours to share, and lawful: nothing misleading, defamatory, discriminatory or that infringes someone else's rights. Images and videos you link to must be ones you have the right to use.

Revenue and net worth ranges are self-reported. We don't check them, and nobody should rely on them as fact.

You keep ownership of your content. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and format it so we can run and show Elitice, for example by featuring your profile card on the home page. The licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies other members already received, such as contact details shared after a request was accepted, and backups that roll over.

5. Membership and Premium

Membership is free. Premium is by application, at our discretion, and requires a verified and complete profile.

Premium is a yearly subscription, paid through Stripe once your application is approved. Your price is the one shown when you applied, and it stays the same at every renewal. Prices are shown excluding VAT; where VAT applies, it's added at checkout and shown on your invoice. The subscription renews each year until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Manage billing; Premium then stays active until the end of the year you paid for.

We can withdraw Premium if its requirements stop being met. If we do, we cancel the subscription so you aren't charged again.

6. Upvotes and rankings

Each verified member can upvote a profile or company once. Rankings reflect those votes; they aren't a judgement by Elitice.

Buying, trading or coordinating votes, and voting from more than one account, are not allowed. We may remove votes and adjust rankings when we see manipulation.

7. Connections and sessions

Sparring and mentoring sessions are arranged directly between members. Elitice isn't a party to them: we don't schedule, charge for or supervise sessions, and we aren't responsible for what is said or agreed in them. No member is obliged to accept a request.

Nothing shared on Elitice or in a session is professional advice, whether financial, investment, legal or tax. Make your own decisions and get qualified advice where it matters.

Treat what is discussed in a session as confidential unless you both agree otherwise. Contact details shared with you are for that connection or session only: don't add them to mailing lists, pass them on or sell them.

8. Using Elitice properly

Please don't:

  • Impersonate anyone or misrepresent your role, company or credentials.
  • Send spam, bulk messages or unsolicited sales pitches.
  • Harass, threaten or pressure other members.
  • Scrape, copy or export member data, or access Elitice with bots or other automated tools.
  • Probe, disrupt or work around our security.
  • Use Elitice for anything unlawful.

9. Preview period

Until launch, Elitice shows fictional sample profiles and companies alongside real members. They illustrate how the network works and are not real people or businesses. During the preview, features may change or be removed.

10. Suspension and closing your account

You can stop using Elitice at any time and delete your account in Settings.

We may suspend or remove accounts or content that break these terms or the law. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you why first and give you the chance to respond. We won't when the breach is serious, urgent or the law prevents it.

11. Liability

We work to keep Elitice available and accurate, but provide it as it is. We can't guarantee it will always be available, or that what members publish is correct.

As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for dealings between members. Our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or €100 if that is more.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for intent or gross negligence, or takes away rights you have as a consumer.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Elitice grows. For significant changes we email members at least 30 days before they take effect. If you keep using Elitice after that, the new terms apply; if you don't agree, you can close your account.

13. Law and contact

Dutch law applies to these terms. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands. If you're a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country's mandatory law and can bring a claim there.

Questions about these terms go to hello@elitice.com.
